Shared Office Space In Garrison Crossing

Ever since the new Coopers opened in Garrison Crossing, I’ve been doing most of my grocery shopping there. Right past it thought is an area of new commercial space, and it always reminds me of Whistler Village whenever I walk by.

Truthfully, I’ve been debating getting a little office out here, partially to get me out of the house, and partially because I think it would be pretty cool to have a creative space. I’m going to call a realtor tomorrow and start pricing out a few options in that area.

If anyone was following my Blogathon efforts last weekend, the place we were all hanging out is known as WorkSpace in Vancouver. WorkSpace is a neat idea, where people can pay a monthly fee and share office space. There are a few meeting rooms, a shower, a coffee bar, wi-fi, etc. I was thinking it would be cool to have a small-scale version of that out here for all the people I encounter working from coffee shops.

If anyone is possibly interested in sharing some space, please email me at duane (at) duanestorey (dot) com. If I do get a space, I’ll probably throw some ikea desks in there and some of my photography to try and liven it up a bit, so hopefully it’ll be a fun place to set up shop. I’m still tossing around the idea, but so far I’m liking it, especially if I can find a few people who want to rent out some desk space every month.

I primarily do web development (via my company, BraveNewCode), but also do a host of other activities, including photography. If you’re a local web designer or developer, it might be a good place to set up shop.
